Can you introduce yourself and your websites?
At Envolve Tech, we’ve developed a unique virtual shopping assistant, which uses our own machine-learning algorithms to provide contextual recommendations to customers who visit your website - essentially acting as a sales representative that sits within the chat vertical, providing an engaging new sales channel as well as helping users find what they need across a range of customer service questions.

What vertical sectors are most relevant for your technology?
There’s very few retailers that wouldn’t benefit from using the technology. Since pivoting into the performance marketing space in 2019, we’ve grown from having 10 to over 100 live clients across globally, ranging from Health & Beauty, Fashion and gaming through travel, homeware and entertainment.
Since going through the 100 client-mark, we’ve also started to see how the data can be used by our clients - they can see what their users are asking, how they’re interacting with the technology and start to build out deeper insights as they go.
How have you financed growth?
We’ve got a strong range of shareholders, many from within the industry, that have backed the company. As we grow, so we’re seeing more organic financing.
What are the most important questions a merchant should ask?
We start with the site’s content and the FAQs - and then use the datafeed to link that to recommendations. We’ve obviously built the tech out a great deal, and work very closely with our merchants to first build a strong chatbot to add to their site, then follow on with retraining that bot as the questions flow.
It’s also worth noting that we work well even if the merchant already has a live chat - we sit in front of it and handover to live chat when we recognise that the user needs to ask more pertinent questions that we can’t answer.
This reduces the customer service queries to only those that are very specific - saving the merchant a lot of time in answering the standard queries of their users, while we turn those relevant queries back into a sales opportunity.
What is the best piece of advice you can offer someone new to affiliate management?
Don’t be afraid to test new technologies in the space and take advantage of the affiliate model as it’s a low risk marketing strategy.
